The BioMed Crossvent 3+ ventilator comes with three different configuration settings; A standard setting, a setting with an air/oxygen blender attached, and one with an Air Entrainment. The setting for the Crossvent 3+ that uses an Air Entrainment setting can deliver 100 % more oxygen than most normal settings that can only deliver up to 50% without an air supply source. The BioMed Ventilator is built with a mechanism that can increase flow there for increasing the Oxygen tank life by mixing ambient air with the Oxygen. The Crossvent 3 Plus can be used on patients ranging from pediatrics to adults and offers an internal battery should the AC power fail. When fully charged the battery will last for approximately 6 hours.
